Who we are...
"We hold forth practical New Testament discipleship as the only means for building meaningful relationships, with Christ and with others."
Our Mission
To turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:17b). We call men to invest in the lives of those
around them. We call children and those young in the faith to lives of heart-driven purpose. We hold forth practical New Testament discipleship as the only means for building meaningful relationships, with Christ and with others.
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sacred Word of God; it is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. It is our only source of infallible instruction. Fathers must see the value of modeling submission to their own authorities, so that their children can follow. The father is the primary mentor for the child; this relationship is second only to the child’s relationship with God. Young men must be shown (as well as taught) what it looks like to be a man in a healthy relationship with the Lord and their parents. The father/son relationship can be replicated in many other legitimate mentoring relationships. We welcome men and boys in these situations to attend
Our Values
Our History
Our name (Moriah Ministries) is taken from
Genesis 22. Here, God calls Abraham to offer his
son, Isaac, as a burnt offering, on a mountain in
the land of Moriah. The price for both Abraham
and Isaac was death. In a figurative sense, God
calls each of us as fathers and children, to the
same agonizing sacrifice. Yet it is that principle
of being willing to die which brings life to our
relationships.
The vision for this work was birthed out of our
experience in our local congregations, as well as
our involvement in various ministries. We’ve observed
many father/child relationships, as well as
congregational relationships, falling victim to our
enemy/s onslaught. Moriah Ministries intends to
work against these fractures by building healthy,
Godly relationships.
Our plan is to work along side local ministry teams, helping them reach their goal of strengthening the congregation through intentional discipleship and dynamic Father/ son relationships.
We desire to reach out to whole church groups, inviting all men (grandpas, singles, married men with or without sons) and boys to schedule a weekend. This weekend leads them to a 4-year adventure of intentionally building father/son relationships.
